Students in health information technology program learn medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Opportunities for hands-on learning are provided to give students the skills they’ll need to secure permanent post-graduation employment.
A degree in health information technology prepares students to work in a variety of fields. Students can seek employment as outpatient clinic managers, surgery schedulers, admitting clerks, medical office manager, insurance billers or coders, medical transcriptionists, or medical records managers. Experienced health information technology professionals are eligible for a number of administrative or supervisory positions.
